World Braille Day, celebrated since 2019, is observed to raise awareness of the importance of Braille as a means of communication in the full realisation of the human rights for blind and partially sighted people. People with sight loss, just like any other employees, need the right tools to do the job – in this case additional tools that enable tasks to be completed with little or no sight. Lessons from managing part-time interns: 1. Overtly communicate *and* document: Instructions, examples, and purpose help you receive what you *actually* want. Proper documentation enables you to scale.2. *Give* and take: Enrichment sessions for their benefit and connections to help them on their career journeys help build relationships. 3. Seek feedback: Continuous feedback (shout out to Kaizen and the andon cord) on what can improve *and* what's working yields better outcomes.Don't forget to also offboard intentionally!

I stumbled across my original cover letter from 15 March 2017 when I first applied to Elsby 🗓 ✨ It read: "Elsby attracts me because of the smaller nature of the firm with large ambitions and the support and emphasis given to employees to become all-rounded individuals. The care for clients is as important as employees, and the focus on personal as well as professional development shows me an ambitious firm that I would be proud to be part of."⌛ Seven years later, I am excited to say that my observations have held true.
